Born in 1988 in Paris, Gabriel Bianco was awarded his degree in classical guitar in 2008 and his degree in chamber music in 2015. Winner of the Guitar Foundation of America’s prestigious international competition in 2008, he has since pursued a career as a international soloist which leads him to perform in around fifty countries, in prestigious venues such as the Théâtre du Châtelet (Paris), the Grand Hall of the Tchaikovsky Conservatoire (Moscow), the’Herbst Theatre (San Francisco), the’Luis Ángel Arango Auditorium (Bogotá), on Central Conservatoire (Beijing), on Musashino Art Centre and the Yamaha Hall (Tokyo), the Kiev Philharmonic Orchestra, the’Zurich Opera House or even the’Lausanne Opera. He has also performed at numerous festivals such as La Folle Journée in Nantes, the Radio France Festival in Montpellier-Occitanie, the Cervantino Festival (Guanajuato, Mexico) or even the Granada Music and Dance Festival (Spain).

Gabriel Bianco has recorded several albums. His solo recital A Parisian in Paris was published in February 2025 at Naxos, followed by Filmaginaire with the Eclisses Quartet (Klarthe). An album featuring the mezzo-soprano Marina Viotti and the cellist Léonard Disselhorst is intended for 2026 at Naïve. He is also involved in the double bassist Marc André’s debut album, which is due to be published in the spring of that same year.

Since 2018, Gabriel Bianco is Principal Lecturer in Classical Guitar at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. He is also invited to give masterclasses at leading institutions such as the Royal College in London, on Paris National Conservatoire of Music, the Manhattan School from New York, on Beijing Central Conservatoire, the Melbourne Conservatoire of Music, as well as at universities in’Arizona (Tucson) and Florida (Tallahassee).
