Having started playing the violin at the age of 3, Luka Faulisi He studied under Boris Belkin at the Maastricht Conservatoire (Netherlands) and subsequently under Professor Robin Wilson at the Royal Academy of Music, where he was awarded the Bicentenary Scholarship, a grant reserved for particularly talented students.
Over the years, encounters with renowned artists have shaped his development. Pavel Berman describes him as “an incredibly gifted virtuoso violinist”, Emmanuel Pahud recognises him as an “extremely talented young man, endowed with great technical ability and a strong musical expression”, whilst Jean-Jacques Kantorow describes him as possessing “incredible natural talent”. He was named a “BBC Music Rising Star” in 2023.
In 2024-2025, Luka Faulisi makes his debut at the Paris Philharmonic and to La Seine Musicale with the ONDIF (Khachaturian’s Concerto), with the’Irish National Symphony Orchestra (Bruch’s Concerto), with the’Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra in Norway (Khachaturian’s Concerto) and the’Slovenian Radio and Television Orchestra at the Cankar Hall in Ljubljana (A poem by Chausson and Gypsy (by Ravel).
He has previously performed in France with the’Toulouse Capitole National Orchestra (Grain Exchange), at the Folle Journée in Nantes and in a recital at the Radio France Occitanie Montpellier Festival. In Europe, he made his debut in the United Kingdom with the’Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra (Royal Albert Hall), in Ireland with the National Symphony Orchestra, in Finland with the Oulu Symphony Orchestra, in Poland with the Szczecin Philharmonic Orchestra, in Italy with the Filarmonica di Torino, in Serbia with the Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra (Kolarac Hall, Belgrade), in North Macedonia with the FAME’S Institute, in Montenegro with the Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra, and finally in Portugal with the Sintra Municipal Orchestra. Luka Faulisi is also in Asia, where he recently performed with the’Macau Orchestra and the Hong Kong Sinfonietta.
At the spring 2024 is releasing his album dedicated to Vivaldi’s Four Seasons with the Orkiestra Historyczna and Martyna Pastuszka. The previous year, Aria, the first instalment of a exclusive partnership with Sony Classical, reveals this to the public.
During the 2025–2026 season, keen to bring classical music to new audiences, he shares the stage as musical director and arranger with the famous comedian Alex Vizorek for a tour comprising more than 40 dates in French-speaking countries.
Luka Faulisi’s stage partners include Itamar Golan, Jean-Paul Gasparian, Lidija Bizjak or his sister Bianca. He plays a a Giovanni Battista Guadagnini violin from 1770.
Aria, Luka Faulisi’s debut album, was released in March 2023.
The Four Seasons, Luka Faulisi’s new album, has been released by Sony Classical in February 2024.
